Shipping between March 3 and March 7, the new GEVEY Ultra S for GSM iPhone 4S from apple n berry will set you back $54.99. It promises to fully unlock your Apple handset on iOS 5.0.1 to work with your carrier of choice.

Supporting both iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1, as well as basebands 1.0.11, 1.013, 1.0.14, Gevey doesn’t require a jailbreak and provides what is known as a hardware unlock.

It works as an interposer and unlocks the iPhone 4S with its original SIM card.

Users can slide in a third party SIM and use the iPhone 4S on any wireless operator, like T-Mobile or any other compatible (GSM) network.

According to the developers, “The new GEVEY Ultra S is now a single interposer that works for all networks. It actually ‘learns’ your network, so there is no need to select a specific GEVEY Ultra S for your service carrier,” says apple n berry.

“A new GEVEY Ultra S comes in learning mode, but after inserting the GEVEY Ultra S and your SIM card in your iPhone 4S, our technology learns your network types and settings for a true plug-and-play unlock solution,” the company explains.

It even promises decreased power consumption and better cellular reception.

Don’t take their word for it, though. Be sure you’re eligible for a refund if the experience doesn’t turn out as good as they promoted it.

The alleged features are:

• GEVEY True Plug-and-Play Unlocking SIM Interposer • No Need to Dial International Emergency Number 112 • Untethered Unlock with no Jailbreak Required • Compatible with all GSM iPhone 4S SIM Cards • Complete Unlock with all 2G and 3G data services • No SIM Card Cutting or Physical Modifications • Works on iOS 5.0, 5.0.1 • Works on Baseband 1.0.11, 1.013, 1.0.14 • Guaranteed Better Reception than Previous • Decreased Power Consumption
