Sprint has already made the iPhone 4 model available for pre-order via its website, and those who have been long waiting for the new device to become available at this wireless carrier can now head there to reserve one for when it is put up for sale.

The mobile phone carrier has also announced plans to make the new iPhone 4S device available for purchase on its network, and should put that phone up for pre-order starting tomorrow, when Apple themselves and other wireless carrier will make a similar move.

“While supplies last, we'll let you pre-order iPhone 4 online only. […] Order today, we'll charge your card for your phone today and we'll do our best to get a shiny new iPhone in your hands Friday, Oct. 14 or Saturday, Oct. 15,” the wireless carrier notes.

The iPhone 4 model that was put up for pre-order at Sprint here comes to the market with 8GB of internal memory, and features a price tag of $99.99 (around 75 Euros) with the signing of a two-year contract agreement.

The new device also arrives on shelves with the much-praised Retina display, from Apple, a 3.5-inch screen that can deliver a 960 x 640 pixel resolution, as well as with an Apple A4 application processor inside.

The handset features support for the wireless carrier's 3G network, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR connectivity capabilities, and the ability to offer up to 7 hours of talk time over 3G.

The new mobile phone runs under Apple's iOS platform, and brings along support for the various services and applications that other similar devices from the company support as well.

“iPhone 4 set the standard with its high-resolution Retina display, FaceTime video calling, and long battery life. And with access to the world’s largest collection of mobile apps on the App Store, over 200 new software features in iOS 5, and iCloud, now iPhone 4 can do more than ever,” Sprint explains.
