Waiting for new rumor containing another release date

Remember the letter Apple sent FCC 3 days ago? As we have understood, they nicely asked them not to publish any iPhone information on their website before June 15th.

That document was the little sparkle that started the whole "iPhone is going to get launched on June 15th-16th" thing.

Well, as it seems, that piece of document was the masterpiece of some funny guy with a very healthy sense of humor, to say the least.

The rumor is now dead and everyone waits for another one containing some reference to the supposed iPhone release date to be started. As if we should care that much about it.

The original document was about the newly released Airport Extreme base station. I know, it expired on January 15th and the document containing references to the iPhone launch date mentions June 15th as the day until FCC should have kept things under the blanket.

January 15th, June 15th, Photoshop... You get the idea and, if I may say so, although I still feel the bitter taste of being misled (as all the people that wrote about it on that day), I have to congratulate the prankster for a very well done job.

He got us all and most of the people already made plans on how to save some money until that date to get their own Apple revolutionary communication device (read iPhone) at home and toy with it for a few days (missing from work, forgetting to feed the cat and all sorts of things that come as a direct result of a total iPhone mayhem).

Until the next thing that will get our pants on fire about the iPhone's release, we should keep our eyes open and, next time, be a little more suspicious of any piece of info coming our way. I promise you that I won't fall for it that easily again!
