Chinese company Meizu, well-known for its attempt to recreate the highly acclaimed iPhone, revealed some pieces of information about the upcoming release of the Meizu M8 device. There are tons of details on the Internet about its specs, so let's get some insight on them.

Well, as much as we know the Meizu M8 (aka MiniOne) measures 105x58x11.8mm, it will run on a Windows CE for Meizu M8 (Based on Windows CE 6.0) and will be powered by an ARM11 667MHz CPU.

There will be a large 3.32 inch touchscreen display (720x480 pixel resolution), miniUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivities, 8/16GB internal memory, 3 Megapixel camera featuring auto-focus, but no flash capabilities, 1500 mAh Li-ion battery, video capturing, Safari-like browser, iPhone-like user interface, iTunes-like music player, GPS (addon, which means you have to buy a separate GPS device) and Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, M8 lacks any 3G compatibility, so when not in Wi-Fi range, the phone will only work on EDGE network.

According to the information disclosed by the company's head, Mr. J. Wong, Meizu expects to officially launch its M8 device on the 30th of November. The company is still waiting for the Chinese government approval; if it does not come in time, Meizu M8 will still be launched, but only as a test version. If everything goes as planned, Meizu's iPhone-like device will be out on the market at the end of this month, but only in China and India.

The phone will lack the Wi-Fi driver for the Chinese market as the government forbids mobile phones with Wi-Fi connectivity (?!). Fans living in Europe, US or Hong Kong will be able to get the device one day before Christmas, on the 24th of December. All versions of the M8 will feature Wi-Fi, except the one launched specifically in China. Meizu M8 will be shipped at a retail price of about $340 USD for the 8GB version or $410USD for the 16GB version. Check out the demonstration below:
