iPads ordered today can ship in 24 hours, according to the new listings spotted at Apple’s international online stores. The company’s iOS applications store also made headlines this week, with sources reporting that the venue now holds over 250,000 titles for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.

The Apple online store is now listing iPads as being available for shipping in 24 hours, signaling that the tablet’s makers have started to catch up with demand.

Until now, iPads could only reach their buyers in three working days.

Apple has reportedly tapped Samsung, in addition to LG Display, to help make the tablets’ 9.7-inch multi-touch screens.

The company is on track to disclose iPad sales numbers in October, when a typical conference call focusing on quarterly earnings is to be held.

Citing unverified rumors, electronista reports that the Cupertino-based electronics maker has started shipping as many as 7.5 million iPads per quarter.

In a separate post, the same source says that Apple’s App Store has surpassed 250,000 titles.

It cites data gathered by 148Apps, which recorded 252,227 readily available apps for iPad and iPhone on August 28.

However, in an August 24 press release announcing the grand opening of its Ross Park Store (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), Apple said that its App Store hosted some 225,000 iOS applications.

“Visitors to the store can also try the updated iMac line featuring Intel Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors, and the incredibly popular iPod touch with access to more than 225,000 apps offered on the revolutionary App Store,” the press release said.

Whether or not the figures reported by 148Apps are accurate, it is unlikely that Apple approved over 25,000 iOS applications in just four days.

Other Apple App Store statistics provide insight into the current demographics of the store, such as the average price of a paid app, numbers of apps by category and so on.
