A case reportedly designed to fit the upcoming iPad Pro has been photographed and leaked on the web, for everyone to see. Several specifications seem to confirm rumored details about the iDevice.

The latest evidence that Apple is indeed making a giant iPad comes in the form of a plausible photo shared by a reliable source who is friends with Nowhereelse.fr. The Frenchies say they’ve been working with this source for a while now and they trust that the leak is reliable.

Rumored iPad Pro specs seem to be true

A while ago, several reports came to light about the new iPad’s distinct audio system comprised of four speakers scattered around the sides. The photo we have here today, which allegedly depicts a protective case for the unconfirmed tablet computer, seems to fully back those claims.

The accessory appears to be made of rigid plastic, not silicone or metal. Various other holes and cutouts seem to confirm more technical specifications, but one in particular caught our eye today: the hole on the left side of the device.

The most reasonable explanation for that hole being there is that this case was designed based on the specifications associated with a cellular iPad. A case for the WiFi version (which doesn’t take SIM cards) would normally lack that cutout, but only if the case vendor decides to make separate versions of its cases to accommodate for this feature (or lack thereof). The hole could also be for a connectivity port.

The iPad Pro is expected to boast a 12.2 to 12.9 inch screen, and will probably cost at least $100 / €100 more than a current-generation iPad Air. Rumor has it that Apple also plans to ship an optional stylus for creatives and business folk.
