Apple has announced that iPad will be available in nine more countries beginning this Friday, July 23. Both the WiFi-only version, and the 3G model of the tablet device are to start shipping to key markets including Austria, Belgium, and Hong Kong. Apple also announced that iPhone 4 is scheduled to arrive in 17 more countries this month, alongside the yet-unreleased white version of the smartphone.

The Mac maker outlines that customers will be able to purchase all models of the iPad through Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers beginning this Friday. Currently available in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the US, the tablet costs $499 (US) for the 16GB WiFi-only version, $599 (US) for 32GB, and $699 (US) for 64GB. The more powerful, 3G counterpart begins at $629 (US) for 16GB, costs $729 (US) for 32GB, and goes all the way up to $829 (US) for 64GB of storage.

Although the device is now available in many parts of the world, Apple is keen on shipping units to even more countries later this year, the company said. “Apple will announce availability and local pricing for these additional countries at a later date,” the official statement goes.
