iOS 4.3 tinkerers have found more evidence that iPad 2 will bear at least one camera, and additional built-in software to support the new hardware, including Face Time and Photo Booth.

Imagery published by MacRumors indicates that Apple’s next tablet computer will not only ship with a Camera application (which should act virtually the same as the iPhone and iPod touch version of the app), but also with Face Time and Photo Booth, two more apps that also rely on a built-in camera.

iPad 2 has long been rumored to include dual cameras that would facilitate Face Time video chatting and, more recently, some learned that Apple also planned the inclusion of Photo Booth, an OS X-native App developed by Apple.

Photo Booth uses a Mac’s built-in iSight web cam to take snaps of whatever or whoever is in front of the computer, and allows users to apply various effects and filters on the resulting photographs.

These include Thermal Camera, Mirror, X-Ray, Kaleidoscope, Light Tunnel, Squeeze, Twirl and Stretch in Apple’s iOS 4.3 Beta 2, according to MacRumors.

The rumor site explains that the image above (homeScreenOverlayFaceTime~ipad.png) was found in the latest iOS beta seeded to developers.

The image is reportedly used by the operating system to show a preview of the user’s wallpaper selection.

The current iOS uses an almost identical image, albeit without the three new applications.

Also noteworthy, Apple has informed developers that the new Multi-Touch gestures recently developed for the iPad will not be making it in the public version of iOS 4.3.

The company allegedly told developers that “This feature will not be enabled in iOS 4.3 for customers, but we are providing this preview to gather input on how these gestures work with your apps.”
