In what would suggest unexpected high demand for the iPad 2, Apple is now estimating iPad 2 shipping times between three to four weeks, according to the listings at store.apple.com.

Launched on March 2 during a special event in San Francisco, California, the iPad 2 was said to be immediately available come March 11, in both black and white form.

While some have been able to nab units of their own, many - who ordered one online, rather than pick one up in-store - remain baffled at the constantly delayed shipping times which initially started at 3-5 days, then moved to 2-3 weeks.

Now the shipping for any tablet your order today is said to take between three to four weeks. No one is to say the current expected delivery dates are not to be delayed, yet again.

Softpedia informed last week that the safest bet to acquire Apple’s dual-core tablet remained sitting in line to purchase one on the spot.

Customers are allowed to buy a maximum of two units, and there are reports saying that some have bent the rules to return to their home land with multiple units to sell for exorbitant prices on the grey market.

If true, this is undoubtedly one of the reasons affecting the estimated shipment times.

Also noted by our website was the probability to see the International launch affected as well.

Apple promised on March 2nd was that iPad 2 would ship in multiple additional territories on March 25th.

Countries on track to receive Apple’s camera-equipped tablet include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK.

Apple has plans to ship the iPad in additional territories at a later date.
