WiFi connection problems seem inherent across iOS versions

Apple had to deal with a lot of trouble around the time the iPhone 5 was launched. Foxconn complained it was too difficult to build, while end users were not happy with some of its features.

One of the features that appeared to be most affected was the phone’s WiFi connectivity. For many users, it was crippled. Some phones had a software issue, others had a hardware one. And users quickly took to the company’s forums to ask for advice.

Fast forward to this day, one forum thread continues to discuss these connectivity problems, and it seems the issue isn’t confined to the iPhone 5’s chassis, or inherent to iOS 6. It’s also happening on new-generation iPhones, such as the iPhone 5s, and on iOS 7.

While these reports are not nearly as widespread as those involving iPhone 5 units on iOS 6, it is clearly an ongoing problem for Apple.
