With Google yet to submit their native Voice application for approval from the App Store Review team, several developers have leveraged the hype surrounding Apple’s recent change of heart to throw in alternatives.

One of these developers is Sean Kovacs, who is selling GV Mobile +, a Google Voice application for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, for $2.99.

Earlier this month, Softpedia reported that an Apple representative had told Kovacs that he was welcome to resubmit his application for review, following Apple’s amendment to the App Store Review Guidelines. “The ORIGINAL Google Voice app is back and better than ever!,” Kovacs is happy to announce on his app’s iTunes page.

Addressing Canadian and United Kingdom users in particular, he outlines that “While this app is for sale in your country, you will not be able to make calls from your phone (without an advanced setup).”

These users will nonetheless be able to send text messages using their Google Voice account with this application, the developer noted.

Users are advised to turn off "Multiple sign-in" on their Google account in order to prevent issues.

Jailbroken users are being told that Cydia-based versions of the software may conflict with the official installment, therefore these people are advised to remove the build targeting hacked devices.

According to Kovacs , “GV Mobile+ allows users of Google Voice to do the following with ease:”

- dial numbers via the iPhone address book, entering on the keypad, or choosing from the internal favorites - send, retrieve, and delete SMS messages - retrieve and delete recent call history - playback and delete voicemails - take calls from different phones other than your iPhone - enable, disable, add, or delete the phones that Google Voice forwards calls to
