Concept by Nepalese designer shows what Apple could do with the Home screen

A designer from Nepal has created what is arguably the best iOS concept to date. Granted, Sangam Bhandari had a lot to build upon – namely Apple’s own iOS 7 – but the tweaks proposed by him are quite relevant.

Bhandari proposes a new and improved Home screen for power users. It sacrifices your wallpaper for some really cool functionality, such as mini-previews of all the things happening in your favorite apps.

The way Bhandari puts it, you’ll never miss a beat. And by the looks of his concept, he’s right. How could you miss anything with such a comprehensive preview of all your apps and services, all running on the Home screen?

Bhandari believes iOS is “elegant and intuitive,” but he also thinks the Home screen is “dull,” arguing that it has the same old grid of applications since day one.

One thing is for sure, though. Such an iOS 8 would be a lot more useful for those who prefer to just leave a gradient wallpaper in the background and focus on the actual functionality of the phone.
