The Beta 2 of iOS 8.4 is tagged 12H4086d

After announcing the release of OS X 10.10.4 Yosemite Public Beta (also Beta 2 for developers) , Apple released on April 27 the second Beta version of the upcoming iOS 8.4 software update for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, build 12H4086d, to developers worldwide.

Unfortunately, iOS 8.4 Beta releases are not yet available to general public. They can only be installed if you have a developer account on Apple's iOS Dev Center website. The second Beta of iOS 8.4 brings only bug fixes when compared with the iOS 8.4 Beta 1 release, which was announced two weeks ago.

According to the release notes, the search function now works on iPad devices, and the new Music app no longer crashes when connected to CarPlay. Moreover, iOS 8.4 Beta 2 addresses a problem where location information wasn't read from certain MFi GPS accessories.

The iOS 8.4 Beta 2 operating system is supported on iPhone 4s (iPhone4,1), iPhone 5 (GSM) (iPhone5,1), iPhone 5 (CDMA) (iPhone5,2), iPhone 5c (GSM) (iPhone5,3), iPhone 5c (CDMA) (iPhone5,4), iPhone 5s (GSM) (iPhone6,1), iPhone 5s (CDMA) (iPhone6,2), iPhone 6 Plus (iPhone7,1), iPhone 6 (iPhone7,2), and iPod touch 5G (iPod5,1) devices.

In addition it is supported on iPad 2 (Wi-Fi) (iPad2,1), iPad 2 (GSM) (iPad2,2), iPad 2 (CDMA) (iPad2,3), iPad 2 (Wi-Fi, 2012) (iPad2,4), iPad mini (Wi-Fi) (iPad2,5), iPad mini (GSM) (iPad2,6), iPad mini (CDMA) (iPad2,7), iPad 3 (Wi-Fi) (iPad3,1), iPad 3 (CDMA) (iPad3,2), iPad 3 (GSM) (iPad3,3), and iPad 4 (Wi-Fi) (iPad3,4) devices.
