We’ve just reported earlier today that Apple promised a patch for the “FREAK Attack” vulnerability in its Safari web browser on both iOS and Mac OS X. Now, according to BGR, Apple has just seeded the iOS 8.2 GM build (12D508) to its employees and testers, which means that we should see the maintenance release on our devices next Monday, March 9.

BGR has also received the official internal changelog with full release notes of the forthcoming and highly anticipated iOS 8.2, which brings a number of improvements to the Health App, among which we can mention the ability to select specific unit of measurement for blood glucose, height, body temperature, weight, as well as distance.

In addition, the Health App has received several stability improvements in order to handle large amounts of data, it now allows users to add and visualize workout session that have been imported from third-party apps, repairs an issue with the minerals and vitamins units, fixes some graphic glitches, lets users add a photo in Medical ID, and addresses a data refresh issue.

iOS 8.2 brings stability enhancements for Mail, Music, VoiceOver, and Flyover in Maps

The Health App has also received a new privacy setting that allows users to turn off tracking of distance, steps, and flights climbed. The Mail and Music apps should now be more stable, as should the Flyover in Maps. Additionally, iOS 8.2 improves the VoiceOver reliability and connectivity with Made for iPhone Hearing Aids.

Numerous bugs have been fixed in iOS 8.2, including an issue in the Maps app that prevented navigation to bookmarked locations, an iTunes problem where duplicate purchased content would interfere with the restoring process from iCloud, a Bluetooth calling issue, a timezone issue with GTM in the Calendar app, and a certificate error when adding Exchange accounts that are behind a 3rd-party gateway.

Last but not least, iOS 8.2 repairs a problem with playlist and music syncing from iTunes to the Music app, correctly deletes audiobooks, correctly autocorrects the last word in a quick reply message, addresses an issue that prevented the audio channel of a call from routing to car speakers when using the Siri Eyes Free function, fixes a couple of issues with Exchange accounts, and no longer displays Calendar events as “busy” after an invite has been accepted.
