Apple plans to expand the localization of its iOS mobile operating system, according to a new job posting for “iOS Keyboard & Text Engineer.”

Apple’s iOS keyboard and text team is looking for a software engineer with excellent programming and verbal skills who also has “a breadth of knowledge and deep understanding of OS fundamentals.”

“The keyboard architecture is constantly evolving as we continue to innovate and introduce breakthrough text input mechanisms for millions of users worldwide,” according to Apple.

The job posting informs applicants that the Cupertino company is working closely with international teams and native speakers of different languages “to accommodate all the world's script systems, so solid collaborative skills are a must.”

If you’re fluent in a non-English language or are familiar with internationalization issues, it’ll give you a huge leg up, Apple says. Here’s where you can apply.
