Apple TV jailbreaker fireCore has released an updated version of its iOS 7 media player application, Infuse 2.1, adding a number of new playable formats and various other improvements.

Available as a free download for all iPhone and iPad users with iOS 7 installed, Infuse 2.1 comes with a wider range of supported video formats, according to fireCore. Unfortunately, the company is shy to enumerate said formats, leaving users to discover the changes for themselves.

“We've been listening to your feedback, and have added some great new things we think you'll love,” says the company behind the only Apple TV jailbreak available. fireCore is also the developer of aTV Flash, a supercharger for Apple set-top boxes which puts more content on your big screen.

Back to Infuse 2.1, other changes included in this update are listed below. You can download Infuse 2.1 on your iDevice right now from the iTunes App Store.

∙ Free users can now play more formats! ∙ Variable speed scrubbing (drag position dot down for finer control) ∙ Improved accuracy while scrubbing ∙ Better movie artwork ∙ SMI subtitles ∙ Improved localizations ∙ Bug fixes
