It’s faster at answering questions and checks Bing, Wikipedia, and Twitter

Siri is getting quite a hefty dose of enhancements in iOS 7, probably the most out of any stock app/service in Apple’s updated mobile operating system.

In iOS 7 the assistant gets a new look (but not a face just yet), a new sound and new functions.

The interface now fades into view and sits atop of your screen (over any running app), and speaks to you in a clearer, more natural-sounding voice, female or male.

It answers questions faster and it fetches information for you from additional sources, such as Bing, Wikipedia, and Twitter.

The assistant can do more, such as play voicemail, control iTunes Radio, and even return calls. At the rate this is going Siri in iOS 8 will also also act as a representative on your behalf.

Jokes aside, “now when you ask Siri something, audio waves move across your screen, letting you know Siri is listening and processing your request,” Apple says.
