In a new memo posted on its Dev Center front page Apple (indirectly) acknowledges the widely rumored iOS 7 beta 4 delay, and reveals that a new System Status page is now available so that developers can track the services, which are being taken back online one by one.

Apple begins with the usual apology, saying that the company is sorry for the inconvenience caused by the downtime, which is almost a full week old.

“We’ve been working around the clock to overhaul our developer systems, update our server software, and rebuild our entire database,” reads the apologetic note.

“While we complete the work to bring our systems back online, we want to share the latest with you,” says Apple.

The company reveals that it is currently working to restore its developer services one by one, starting with Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, Apple Developer Forums, Bug Reporter, pre-release developer libraries, and videos.

The next phase of the dev portal restoration plan is to “restore software downloads, so that the latest betas of iOS 7, Xcode 5, and OS X Mavericks will once again be available to program members,” Apple notes, thus confirming the widely reported iOS 7 seeding delay.

We had initially predicted that iOS 7 Beta 4 would become available later this week, but now it appears it may be pushed back even more.

“We’ll then bring the remaining systems online,” the company reveals, adding that developers can track Apple’s progress in the new status page which displays the availability of its systems.

As before, Apple outlines that any developer whose membership was set to expire has nothing to worry about.

“If your program membership is set to expire during this period, it will be extended and your app will remain on the App Store,” according to the Mac maker.

Those who have other (developer-related) concerns are encouraged to use this contact form and share their grief with Apple.
