Internal deadlines are being set later than past releases

According to reports from several trusty sources, Apple will push out its newest version of the iPhone/iPad operating system this fall.

Specifically, people familiar with the development of iOS 7 tell All Things D that “While the company still expects to release iOS 7 on time as soon as September, internal deadlines for submitting features for testing are being set later than past releases.”

A Bloomberg report published earlier this week said pretty much the same thing. The September launch date does seem to be on par with Tim Cook’s statements too.

The Apple CEO told investors to expect exciting new products in fall, and if the iPhone 5S is going to boot anything, it’s going to be iOS 7.

Apple is also expected to show a demo of iOS 7 at WWDC, the company’s annual developers conference, this summer.
