An iOS developer known for coding several jailbreak tweaks has posted a screenshot on Twitter indicating that iOS 7 can be hacked to the bone.

Responsible for tweaks like Activator, DietBar, FullForce, and LiveClock, developer Ryan Petrich posted the picture you see above on Twitter, causing quite a bit of stir in the iOS community.

The iPod touch used to take this screenshot is jailbroken and is running the iOS 7 beta, according to Cultofmac. Petrich didn’t actually mention any jailbreak but rather lamented at the error message he got: “System version too new?”

It is unclear what exploits were used to compromise iOS 7, but it seems a new chapter is being opened in the cat-and-mouse game between Apple and the hackers.

Apple plans to release iOS 7 Final to the public this fall.
