14 DAY TRIAL // In a report announcing a new record for iPhone sales, Apple reveals that the adoption rate of its fresh iOS software is on par with the performance of its new iPhones.
A report by Chitika I cited earlier today reveals that 32% of all iDevice owners jumped aboard iOS 7 in two days’ time. The figure beats last year’s 30 percent adoption rate (for iOS 6) which was actually achieved in three days.
Apple now seems to confirm Chitika’s findings with some figures of its own. According to the press release dishing out first-weekend sales data for the new iPhone models, “more than 200 million iOS devices are now running the completely redesigned iOS 7, making it the fastest software upgrade in history.”
Apple doesn’t say whether this is the fastest upgrade in the history of the company, the iPhone, or our planet, but it’s safe to say it’s been a blast.
