SteelSeries started the fight, Logitech now responds admirably

Logitech is feeling the heat of competition. After SteelSeries slashed $20 / €15 off its Stratus controller, the Swiss accessory maker is responding with an even bolder discount: 30$ / €22 off its MFI (made for iPhone/iPad) PowerShell controller.

For a while now, various accessory makers have been scrambling to sell their relatively expensive third-party controllers to iOS gamers, but few people are flocking to buy what is essentially a non-product in a land filled with touch-centric games.

All that promises to change, as developers have begun rolling out updates that make their games compatible with these physical controllers, for endless button-mashing fun.

But the hardware makers still have to sweeten the pot. To do that, they’re slashing considerable dollars off their just-launched controllers, and Logitech is leader of the pack with a handsome 30$ / €22 discount off its PowerShell MFI gaming gear.

You don’t think it has anything to do with the fact that there’s this jailbreak tweak up on Cydia that renders your iPhone compatible with a controller you (probably) already own, do you?
