It appears that YouTube doesn’t play well with iOS 7 when it comes to voice search as customers are continuously reporting app crashes whenever they try to find a video by using vocal commands.

A YouTube forum thread reveals that the problem is widespread, but there’s also some good news. A YouTube (Google) representative named Jennie replied to the commenters on the thread with confirmation that the problem was being addressed.

“Thanks for your reports,” writes Jennie. “The YouTube team is aware of a crash related to using voice search in the app after upgrading to iOS 7. Thanks in advance for your patience while the team works to address this!”

Jennie doesn’t provide an estimated release date for the patch, but you can expect a YouTube app update in the coming days.
