A new application approved by Apple in its iTunes Store aims to fill a void left by the iOS 6 software update and Apple’s decision to break ties with Google over the YouTube license in iOS.

iPhone customers running iOS 6 can instantly put YouTube back on their phones by downloading and installing the new dedicated app from Google, but iPad users have no native app to use.

Sure, they can download the same app, but it will look blown up and will work sub-par. Plus there’s the ads.

So what can iPad users do to bring back the YouTube experience they once had and loved? Better yet, what can they do to get an even better YouTube experience?

Download Jasmine – YouTube Client, of course. Coded by Morrissey Exchange Pty Ltd., the app is ready for any device, has Retina graphics, features an elongated UI on the iPhone 5, and offers a comprehensive menu that brings out the best form the video streaming service.

The interface is smooth and responds by the nanosecond; it boasts a night theme and dimming support for when you’re browsing in low light conditions; it doesn’t flood you with ads; even better, it doesn’t even push any videos on you until you choose the path (featured, most viewed, trending, etc.).

It supports multi-tasking, meaning you get to play audio/playlists in the background while you use other apps, and it remembers your position when you return (good for long videos).

Parents get to curate content and restrict video discovery (only in the Pro version), and you can do everything else you used to do, such as post comments and replies, and share stuff on Facebook and Twitter.

The developers even included filtering for comment spam and channel promotions. Lastly, Jasmine supports AirPlay, so you can beam your video onto the big screen in your living room via Apple TV.

This thing now officially raises the bar for Google’s next update to the official YouTube app. Let’s see how they do.
