The download links for Apple’s next major version of iOS and the Safari web browser have been leaked. The URLs show that there is an iOS 6 beta (build 10A5316k) ready to be handed to developers.

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference today will feature multiple announcements, including at least two software-related updates.

One of those updates is iOS 6. Apple confirmed the new software as a key topic at WWDC when the company ordered some banners to be hanged around Moscone West this weekend.

Apple is now reportedly planning to issue a beta (labeled build 10A5316k) to developers today, according to leaked download links by the Chinese forum WeiPhone.com (courtesy of user Tide / @tidegu on Twitter). The URLs are not yet active.

The forum did the same thing last year and the links proved to be accurate. The same move this year garnered quite a bit of attention, especially thanks to the accuracy of last year’s leak.

iOS 6 is expected to boast a 3D maps application, a revamped iStore(s), enhanced multi-tasking, and more.

According to the download links, iOS 6 is still supported by the legacy iPhone 3GS, but the first-generation iPad, strangely isn’t. It is not clear why Apple wishes to abandon the original tablet computer with double the RAM and processing power of the 2009 iPhone. The third-generation iPod touch also remains unsupported at this point.

Safari 6 will also be a featured topic today, according to the leak signed Tide over at China’s prominent forum discussing iPhone matters.

Safari is Apple’s standard web browser on all of its platforms, including the iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Mac OS X. Safari 6 refers to the desktop implementation of the web browser.
