Following the release of iOS 6.1 Build 10B5117b (Beta 3) yesterday afternoon, developers have been able to confirm jailbreak compatibility with the iPhone Dev Team’s redsn0w 0.9.15b3.

AppAdvice reports that jailbreaking iOS 6.1 beta 3 requires redsn0w 0.9.15b3 whose interface also contains the necessary instructions to do so.

Apparently only pre-A5 devices are supported, which means that the newest hardware jailbreakable under iOS 6.1 beta 3 is the iPhone 4. As usual, iPhone 3GS owners with an old bootrom can even enjoy an untethered experience.

However, since iOS 6.1 is in beta, “this jailbreak solution is really only intended for jailbreak developers who are preparing their tweaks and apps for iOS 6.1,” AppAdvice warns.

Regular users are urged to avoid installing (let alone jailbreak) iOS 6.1 beta 3.

More on redsn0w 0.9.15b3 and a couple of download links for Mac and Windows can be found at the iPhone Dev Team’s blog.
