With only one day left until Apple is expected to unveil the iPad mini, the first details on the next iOS update have just leaked online.

According to BGR, Apple has already started testing iOS 6.0.1 with multiple operators in the US and plans to release it soon. iOS 6.0.1 will focus on fixing several bugs brought in the latest updates, but also some that have been around for quite a while.

The update will fix the horizontal lines issue on the screen when the keyboard or application folder is open.

The camera flash will also be fixed, so those who like to take photos in low-light environments won’t have to fear the flash won’t go off.

One of the bugs that prevented cellular data for functioning in some situations has been fixed as well, along with a bug that provided access to Passbook pass info from the lock screen.

Last but not least, iOS 6.0.1 is also rumored to fix a nasty bug that unexpectedly canceled Exchange meetings for the entire calendar invite.

Some improvements will be included in iOS 6.0.1 as well, such as Wi-Fi support and the addition of a compact cellular data switch for iTunes Match.

These are the first details on the iOS 6.0.1 changelog, but more improvements and/or bug fixes may be added in the final version.

In the same piece of news, Apple is unlikely to deliver iOS 6.1 with its iPad mini on November 2, unless there’s a separate build for the tablet in the works. Otherwise, the new iOS 6.1 build is expected to arrive after the holidays.

Apple will unveil the iPad mini tomorrow, October 23, but the slate is expected to hit shelves in early November. The company plans to launch several iPad mini models at different price tiers. Stay tuned for more info on the subject.
