An interesting proposition from a social media blogger paints a nice picture of Apple’s upcoming iOS 5 with the help of Siri and the company’s massive North Carolina Data Center.

John Koetsier believes Apple’s forthcoming major revision to the iOS will make it a ‘personal assistant from heaven.’

Via the Siri acquisition in 2010, Apple is implementing a whole new way of searching for and achieving goods and services with iOS 5.

Koetsier upholds that the technology, coupled with some advanced voice-centric features (via the rumored Nuance acquisition) will pave the way for making the iOS man’s best friend.

The theory is that iOS 5 will be doing all the legwork when it comes to booking a flight and a hotel room, buying tickets to a show and making restaurant reservations.

Indeed, Siri is based on algorithms that understand what the user is looking for and even learns one’s preferences and needs over time.

“Just like a real assistant, Siri understands what you say, accomplishes tasks for you and adapts to your preferences over time,” according to the official description over at siri.com.

“Today, Siri can help you find and plan things to do. You can ask Siri to find a romantic place for dinner, tell you what’s playing at a local jazz club or get tickets to a movie for Saturday night,” the developers elaborate.

Of course, a service like Siri tracking hundreds of millions of Apple customers’ preferences will require a vast data center.

Not by accident, Apple has one set up and ready to go in North Carolina, where analysts believe our whole digital lives will once be stored.

Given all the rumors and speculation surrounding Apple’s imminent announcement this summer, we visualize iOS 5 as a blob of bits anxiously waiting on the launch pad like an angry bird in its sling shot.

We can only hope Apple paints a similar picture at WWDC 2011, otherwise many Apple fans will be utterly disappointed.
