Twitter’s Jason Costa has confirmed two early-October developer events scheduled to go live in New York and London with a focus on integration with iOS 5.

Costa begins his post with the acknowledgement that he and his team have hosted a series of events for developers in the Twitter ecosystem over the past two months.

Devs residing in San Francisco, California had a tough time attending, as all of these shows were hosted at the Twitter HQ (much like Apple reportedly plans to unveil its iPhone 5 at their Cupertino Town Hall Auditorium).

After listening to the feedback they got from developers (concerning the planned technical workshops), Twitter decided to indulge them and host these gatherings in other cities as well.

Costa explains why:

“There’s a lot going on in the ecosystem and we’d like to take this chance to share the highlights with you – including the latest developments with the platform, areas of opportunity that we’re seeing, and a heavy focus on the iOS 5 Twitter integration for developers.”

As Apple fans should well know, iOS 5 boasts an awesome Twitter integration.

“We’ll also be holding a Q&A session with members of the platform team, plus time to hang out with each other.”

Costa confirms that the first  Developer Teatime will be in London, on October 10th from 6pm to 9pm.

The second event is in New York City. This one is going down on October 12th, also from 6pm to 9pm.

Costa informs that space is limited, therefore developers have to act swiftly.

“Both of these events will have space for just 150 attendees per city, so register early to secure a spot.” He says there will be additional dates and cities soon.

The Twitter staffer ends his post by extending gratitude to the people who’ve been “vital” in helping the company organize these events, naming Chris Thorpe, of Index Ventures, and Frank Speiser, of SocialFlow.
