References to ‘Siri Dictation’ found in iPad build of iOS 5.1 beta

A person with access to the latest iOS 5.1 beta claims to have found evidence that Siri may be headed to the iPad, at least in the form of ‘Dictation’.

As reported by 9to5mac, tipster Sonny Dickson was navigating the Settings menu of iOS 5.1 beta 3 on his iPad when a new section appeared in the keyboard menu called “About Privacy and Dictation.”

Dickson opened it and, to his surprise, the iPad offered the standard legal text and feature information for Siri Dictation.

It is believed that the code for Siri Dictation on iPad was not accidentally put in this beta, and that it might even become an exclusive feature (a selling point perhaps) for the next-generation of iPads.
