The hacker community on Twitter is spreading the word that iOS 5.1.1 is jailbreakable using the latest version of Redsn0w from the iPhone Dev Team. However, not everyone should attempt to do it.

As Apple was pushing out iOS 5.1.1 to all iDevice owners around the world, infamous Dev Team hacker MuscleNerd tweeted: “iOS 5.1.1 is out...jailbreakers beware! Owners of iPhone4S or iPad2/3 should stay away from it!”

In a follow-up tweet, he wrote: “On the other hand, tinkerers with older devices can tether jailbreak 5.1.1 using last month's redsn0w,” adding that all they have to do is “pre-select the 5.1 IPSW.”

Fellow hacker Pod2g has a jailbreak ready but he is still deciding whether it’s better to wait for iOS 6 to release it.
