Ongoing discussions over at Apple Support Communities (the redesigned Apple forum) reveal there might still be some issues with the newest iOS from Apple, despite the company’s attempts to patch the software up last week.

Recently updated to version 4.3.3 with the main goal to adjust location-tracking, iOS appears to be suffering from connectivity issues now.

Specifically, forum users are citing trouble with their WiFi networks

“My iphone 4 been running on 4.3.1 smoothly until I upgraded my software to 4.3.3 this week,” user G8mb1t writes in one thread covering the topic.

“I cannot connect to my wifi(apple timecapsule) all my other devices still running 4.3.1 can connect,” he claims.

“I have the same problem,” travisfromlouisvill adds. “I upgraded my iPhone 4 to 4.3.3 and now my wifi isn't working. I tried resetting network settings and that didn't work either. I upgraded my iPad 2 to 4.3.3 and the wifi works fine.”

And while some claim to have seen their troubles gone over night (without any external intervention), many seem to be experiencing a clear misbehavior of the iPhone software when it comes to connecting wirelessly to the Internet.

One user, however, believes he has isolated the problem - old Airport firmware.

“The iOS 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 for iphone is not compatible with the firmware 7.5.2 for apple airport extreme and time capsule,” AndiXXX claims to have found.

“If the WiFi router is an apple airport with firmware 7.5.2 an iphone with the updated firmware will not be able to detect and connect to the WiFi network,” he explains to fellow forum users.

However, it is still more likely the issue stems from iOS and that it comes and goes, as it’s generally the case with wireless (radio) connectivity.

We can also confirm that iOS 4.3.3 is causing strange WiFi behavior on both our iPad (one) and iPhone 4 (GSM) from time to time.

Apple may be required to patch what may prove to be a widespread issue in a potential iOS 4.3.4 release in the following weeks, or in iOS 5, if the company decides to roll out the public version next month.
