Following the WWDC 12 keynote, Apple released iMovie 9.0.6, an update that “provides general stability and compatibility improvements,” including one key compatibility update for the latest hardware unveiled by Apple.

iMovie helps regular users turn “ordinary home videos into captivating Hollywood-style trailers that are fun to watch and share,” says Apple.

iMovie 9.0.6 features “enhancements for the MacBook Pro with Retina display,” according to a memo on Apple’s site. In other words, the app has been scaled up to take advantage of every single pixel on that high-resolution display.

The update also adds new language support for Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Romanian, Slovak, Thai, Turkish and Ukrainian. iMovie 9.0.6 is to be applies to OS X Lion version 10.7.4 or newer.
