Standalone allows quick access to any library

Karelia Software has updated its freeware media browser for users of Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Among the changes in iMedia Browser 1.1.2 are live updating of media libraries, and improved parsing of iPhoto and Lightroom libraries.

iMedia Browser adds its familiar UI across most applications in Mac OS X. Karelia Software assures that the iMedia Browser can be used whenever and wherever you need to access your library of music, videos, photos, and bookmarks.

Users can activate iMedia Browser from either the dock or a small icon in the menu bar, after which the utility becomes the main tool for browsing images, sounds, movies, or links in its compact window, which allows users to drag files into any application. A complete list of fixes and enhancements brought by iMedia Bowser 1.1.2 can be found below.

iMedia Browser Framework: · Fix to some instances of requests for photos or movies beyond the boundaries of the list. · Permanently disable old delicious parser that is incompatible with this new version. · Fix a problem parsing older iPhoto libraries. · Maintain selection path in the source between launches. · Fix several memory leaks. · Improve live updating of libraries. · Re-enabled Sounds, iLife Sound Effects, and iMovie Sound Effects, which were accidentally removed in 1.1.1. · Fix to Lightroom database parsing. · Fix icons so that iTunes 8 shows the correct icons. · Deleted many unused icons. · Work around illegal access to items in the photo grid. · Localization updates. iMedia Browser Application: · Fixed an issue where an error loading the problem reporter would generate recursions and crash. · Regenerating many English strings. · Add tip specific to Aperture in help documentation. · Improve problem reporter to report symbols in Tiger and Leopard. · Bugfixes to prevent recursive error reporting attempt. · Update Sparkle to r318 (1.5b6). · Other improvements to problem report sending. · Filter out invalid addresses in the email address combo box. · Localization updates.
