Developed by Blue Lava Technologies, iLovePhotos provides new and intuitive ways to organize and share the thousands of photos you have on your computer. The free, web & Mac OS X application has received an important update recently, adding a slew of enhancements and tweaks.

iLovePhotos is aimed at those who love taking photos everywhere they go. Old photos are prone to getting lost, forgotten, or even deleted by accident. With iLovePhotos' visual tagging interface, users can organize all their images in a matter of minutes. Unlike traditional photo apps, the emphasis with iLovePhotos is on photo enjoyment, according to the folks at Blue Lava.

Beginning with the smallest of changes in version 1.0 Build 1659, Blue Lava was able to fix some issues occurring with library saving and dequeuing face detection, improving performance while syncing with iPhoto, or while auto-saving.

A progress bar now indicates how much time iLovePhotos is taking to export your slideshow movies. Bigger changes include the ability to import photos by dragging them from a Finder window onto iLovePhotos' UI and, after importing new photos into iPhoto, iLovePhotos will automatically import them. Other feature highlights include:

- Getting started overlay the first time you launch ILP. - New log-in screen in the iLovePhotos.com prefrences. - Fade transitions for entering and existing fullscreen and slideshow views. - Export all of your tags to iPhoto.

The most distinctive feature of iLovePhotos is its ability to organize your pictures using an algorithmic facial detection technology. iLovePhotos integrates facial detection and an intelligent platform to display photos you probably even forgot you owned. Automatic sharing and Address Book integration are simply more reasons to check out this free solution for managing and enjoying your photos.

iLovePhotos requires a Mac running OS X Tiger (10.4) or later, an Internet connection (to share photos), and “a love for photos.”
