The folks behind iFart Mobile have announced their intention to give away $5,000 US Dollars for creating the best commercial for the iFart mobile iPhone app.

"We are looking for creativity, humor and mass appeal," reads the announcement on the official web site of iFart Mobile. "The Creators of iFart, One of the Most Popular iPhone Apps in the World and holder of the coveted #1 Paid App title for 3 weeks in iTunes, are holding a YouTube Video Contest to see who can create the best 30-60 second 'iFartmercial' for our company."

According to the app's developers, all submissions must be submitted to YouTube, while the contest entry form must be submitted no later than April 30, 2009.

The "Primary Video Requirement," as the contest rules indicate, is that the end of your video should have either a verbal or printed tagline with the iFartMobile URL being displayed on the screen for at least five seconds. One of the following taglines must be used at the end of the video:

- "there's something in the air" - "let er rip" - "you are now free to flatulate" - "that was a wet one" - "wasn't me dude" - "that sounded wet" - "some kids never grow up" - "fire in the hole" - "don't hate flatulate."

The developers further stress that "The 'iFart for $5000' Contest ... is a video contest to create the best commercial for iFart Mobile. Prizes will be awarded to those who submit the most creative videos. Each video should appeal to a worldwide audience, and each winner will be determined by the judges in their sole discretion, as well as a number of other criteria, and in accordance with [the] Official Rules."

The Grand Prize is $5,000 US; second place nabs you a 14-inch Apple Macbook (value $999), while the third place price is an 8GB iPod Touch (value $229). Visit iFart Mobile here to sign up.
