Sesca Mobile Software Oy is a Finish company that specializes in creating customized software for mobile phones. Today, it launched the iDial Mobile Community for mobile phone users. This application is free for download and install for users that have an account on the my.idial.fi website, and allows them to create mobile communities and then to communicate with other members by using iDial Mobile's communication tools.

Basically, this application allows users to talk with the members of the community they created, without paying anything, except for the Internet traffic. This is done using VoIP calls over the Internet in 3G or WLAN networks. Members of the community can also share their mobile phone's calendar, presence and location automatically, and also use chat and poke functions, along with having the possibility of engaging in simultaneous chat sessions. Users can also build internet phonebooks with the presence and location details of the contacts they have.

Managing Director of Sesca Mobile Software Oy, Juha Sumelahti, says that, ”Sesca provides mobile software and development services for mobile phone operators and manufacturers and for enterprise customers. By giving iDial Mobile application to users for free, we hope to receive plenty of user experience, feedback and ideas for further development of the application. Our intention is to offer iDial Mobile Community solution with support services to enterprise customers.”

The different functions of the iDial Mobile application can be managed by users through a personal webpage, where they can perform all the actions presented above and more.

”Sesca iDial Mobile Community is a future showcase of rich communications tools and web communities built by integrating web 2.0 and mobile phone technology. To become truly popular, a web community has to offer multiple tools for seamless communication. We also believe that enterprises will also implement mobile communities in the near future.” said Andreas Paschinsky, product manager of iDial Mobile Community.

At the moment, the iDial Mobile application can be used on Nokia mobiles that run Symbian S60 3rd Edition OS.
