Apimac has released iDatabase 2 in the Apple Mac App Store, following an early January announcement which introduced both the 2.0 Mac release, as well as a 4.0 update for the iPhone version of iDatabase.

iDatabase permits wireless, bi-directional syncing between Mac computers and iOS devices like the iPhone and iPod touch, making it a complete personal database management solution.

According to its makers, iDatabase is ideal for tracking membership lists, expenses, projects, Internet accounts, etc., as the app includes 16 ready-to-use templates such as Accounts, Contacts, Exercise Log, Recipes, and To Do.

Drag and drop creation of custom templates is supported as well.

iDatabase 4.0 for iOS and iDatabase 2.0 for Mac OS X complement each other to offer a management solution for important databases both on the desktop, and on the move.

Previously available only from the Apimac Store alongside a trial version (which is still up for grabs), iDatabase 2.0.1 is now downloadable through the Mac App Store as well, the company has announced.

“Apimac has announced iDatabase is also available on the new Apple Mac App Store,” the company wrote on its blog.

“Designed to permit wireless, bi-directional syncing between Mac computers and iOS mobile devices like iPhone and iPod touch, iDatabase is a complete personal database management solution.”

“With the great success of iDatabase for Mac, it became clear that we needed to be also on the new Apple Mac App Store” stated company Senior Vice President Worldwide Product Marketing Gabriele Gobbo.

iDatabase 2.0 for Mac requires OS X 10.5.8 or later. Mac OS X 10.6.6 is supported as well, since the software is also available for download through Apple’s Mac App Store (a specific addition in the Mac OS X 10.6.6 system update).
