This is the best news ever for the ?iPod-holics. Thanks to a revolutionary dock especially delivered from MacWay, there would be no need for a PC to get the videos on your iPod.

Besides looking like being the same with your milky way iPod, the dock lets all the iPod users connect an analog video source, such as VCR, DVD Player, Camcorder and more to it, and with a single touch of a button, the device will automatically both convert and record the desired video content directly onto your precious iPod drive.

According to the manufacturers, the system is capable of recording up to 6 hours of video content straight into the device, with the possibility of programming the device to stop the recording after 30, 60, 120 or 180 minutes. It is both NTSC and PAL compatible and allows the owner to upload iTunes videos, created specially for iRec.

Not to mention the users are given the chance to choose between a nicer image or having more space on the hard drive. The recording quality can also be easily adjusted directly from the dock. One of the main advantages when using the iRec is the fact that iPods not only get videos, but they also recharge in real time. The device allows USB connectivity, if you think of connecting it to your PC.

Apart from the amazing technical details incorporated on the system, the dock reveals some easy to use controls and the capability of displaying its status using the LEDs.

Sadly, the docking station is said to be compliant with only a couple of iPods models on the market, such as: G (Video) 30 Go, iPod 5G (Video) 60-80 Go, iPod U2 base Video 30 Go and iPod U2 base Video 60 Go.

Wondering about the price tag and availability details of the iCube iRec? How does 150 euros sound?
