Most likely a backend glitch that will get fixed in the next few days

Apple recently informed customers that their complementary 20GB of iCloud storage would be retracted on September 30th. Users are now reporting that the storage not only hasn’t been reclaimed by the Mac maker, but that it’s been extended until 2050.

In what is most probably a glitch on Apple’s side, customers who didn’t even use MobileMe before iCloud are getting the same notification that their 25GB of storage is good 38 years from now.

Instead of retracting the complementary storage, Apple extended it, despite having released multiple warnings that users would no longer be able to use the extra 20GB.

Apple will most likely patch this bug, but so far the company has been mum. Customers are also unable to report any changes since the glitch occurred. How’s your experience been? Any extra gigs of storage to leave to your grandkids?
