14 DAY TRIAL // Monkey Taps is feeling awfully generous this week. The developer has slashed the price on its iClean utility to zero, allowing any iDevice owner to download the app free of charge.
iClean is for people who are concerned about security and privacy. What it does is it wipes out any unwanted or unused data, and deletes content on your phone that is technically not erased and can still be recovered with specialized software.
“iClean overrides these hidden deleted items and ensures that everything unnecessary is gone,” according to its makers.
Users can achieve a complete reset via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings, followed by the iClean treatment.
“All private data is completely taken away. This is particularly helpful if you want to sell/refurbish your phone, to completely guarantee that none of your previous data is ever retrieved,” according to Monkey traps.
iClean works with all iDevices and requires iOS 5.1.
