It seems that Maingear isn't the only one capable of putting together powerful gaming rigs. While the SHIFT definitely packs the ultimate performance and cooling options combined, it is only approachable by the high-end users. iBuyPower seems to want its own PC gaming product array to be more widespread, releasing five different configurations suited for the different layers of the market. These computers are, ordered from the most affordable upwards, Gamer Extreme 922 SLC, Gamer Supreme 559 SLC, Gamer Supreme 919 SLC, Gamer Supreme 929 SLC and Gamer Supreme 979 SLC.

Except for the Extreme 559 SLC, which uses an AMD processor (AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4GHz), all the systems employ Core i7 Intel CPUs. The more affordable Gamer Extreme 922 SLC comes with a Core i7 860 clocked at 2.83GHz, has 4GB of RAM, 500GB of storage and has a GeForce GT 220 for graphics rendering. In addition, the system has a 22x DVD writer and a power supply of 680W. This system is aimed at the lower markets, with a price of $989.

The Gamer Supreme 559 SLC and 919 SLC have rather similar capabilities, namely 8GB of DDR3 memory, 1TB HDDs, 22x DVD-RW drives and 800W PSUs. What differs between the two are their CPUs and GPUs. The 559 SLC uses the aforementioned 3.4GHz Phenom processor and a GeForce GTX 295 graphics card (1792MB) and the 919 SLC a Core i7 870 CPU at 2.93GHz, with a Radeon HD 4890 for graphics. These two products are sold for $1,550.

The more costly configurations start here. For the mid to high-end markets, the Gamer Supreme 929 (priced at $2,500) SLC employs a Core i7 975 central processor at 3.33GHz, has 4GB of random access memory, 1TB of storage, a Blu-ray/DVD combo unit and a GeForce GTX 285 graphics adapter, all kept alive by a power supply of 800W.

Finally, what's best is, as they say, left for last. The ultra high-end gaming desktop PC is the Gamer Supreme 979 SLC. Although it uses the same processor as the Gamer Supreme 929 (Core i7 975), it has no less than 12GB of RAM, a solid state drive storage capacity of 128GB and uses two GeForce GTX 295 adapters. All its components are powered by a 1kW power supply. This high-performance desktop PC comes priced at no less than $3,999.

The systems use the Asetek liquid cooling technology, which keeps the temperatures of all components under control, maintaining stability and prolonging system lifespan. All Gamer Extreme and Gamer Supreme systems may be purchased online and have pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium, along with a three-year warranty.
