iBuyPower has just announced that Nvidia's recently launched flagship graphics solution, the GeForce GTX 590, is now available in the company's high-performance desktop systems and that the card is also expected to make its way into the highly anticipated Erebus machine which will launch next month.

The GeForce GTX 590 is Nvidia's fastest video graphics card to date as it packs two GF110 GPUs on the same printed circuit board and features no less than 1024 streaming processors, 128 texturing units and 96 ROP units.

In addition, the GTX 590 also sports dual 384-bit memory interfaces, that connect the two graphics cores to the 3GB of GDDR5 video buffer installed.

Nvidia has set the operating clocks of the two GPUs at 608MHz and the memory chips run at 853MHz (3414MHz data rate).

Right now, iBuyPower's website lists two systems that are powered by this graphics card, the Chimera XLC-V and the Gamer Paladin F970, and both pack a water-cooled Intel Core i7 990X processor, 12GB of DDR3 memory setup in a tri-channel configuration and high wattage PSUs.

Users who feel that they need more graphics power than the GeForce GTX 590 can provide have the option of using two such cards in an SLI configuration.

The other machine to get Nvidia's GTX 590, the Erebus, was completely designed by iBuyPower from the ground up and is a completely custom liquid cooled PC (this includes CPU, motherboards and GPUs).

“Nvidia cards delivers the smooth, life-like graphics our gaming customers demand,” said Darren Su, vice president of iBuyPower.

“We are honored to once again be an Nvidia launch partner and to help usher in this exciting new technology,” concluded the company's rep.

Configured with a single GeForce GTX 590 graphics card, the Chimera XLC-V is priced at $4499 while the Gamer Paladin F970 is listed at $3389. A second GTX 590 is available as a $799 upgrade.
