The first to offer up to 32 GB DDR3 on all Intel H65, P67 and Z68 chipset-based computers

It was already known that the standard RAM capacity had doubled over the past year, but iBuyPower took things not a step, but a whole leap further with some of its gaming systems.

The company actually issued a press release dedicated to claiming the title of “'first system builder to offer 32GB memory on all Intel H65, P67 or Z68 chipset based systems.”

It doesn't take a genius to realize that 32 GB is a huge amount of RAM (random access memory).

While there are situations where more than a little RAM is needed to run a game, like multi-display scenarios, most people can make do with 4 GB.

Then again, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that the casual consumer won't actually need more than 4 GB for most tasks, especially if the memory is a reasonably fast DDR3 kit.

Nevertheless, iBuyPower is really catering to the tastes of enthusiasts this time, especially for multitasking and when using editing applications.

“The amount of memory in a system significantly impacts the user's experience, this is especially true with gaming systems and workstations,” said Darren Su, vice president of iBuyPower.

“The option to build a system with 32GB of memory ensures iBuyPower customers will have a positive experience with our PCs and the reason we wanted to the first system builder to offer it.”

For ordering one of iBuyPower's systems, prospective buyers should drop by the official website and start choosing their components.

Meanwhile, consumers that have been keeping tabs on the economic dynamics of IT will likely know that random access memory has been selling poorly for a long time now.

Some sort of stability might be attained sooner or later, but there is no guarantee.

This move on iBuyPower's part is just one of the methods that IT players are utilizing to help DRAM makers digest their inventories and get prices back up.
