Indian manufacturer iBall apparently has a preference for uninspired names when it comes to baptizing its products. After the company recently launched the Slide 3G 7271 HD7, it has also pushed out another model, the Slide 7236 2G, a product with even more modest capabilities.

The newcomer features a 7-inch capacitive screen with a bland resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and 5-point multi-touch. Power comes with a 1.3GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor fitted with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory (thankfully, it's expandable).

As you might have become accustomed with budget slates coming out of India/China, the new iBall has dual-SIM, so users can place phone calls too.

Apart from that, iBall has added two cameras (2MP with flash on the back and 0.3 VGA frontal camera), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, 2G (via SIM card slots), and a rudimentary 2500 mAh battery. Those interested in getting the iBall Slide 7236 2G can do so from eBay India for Rs 6,999 / $113 / €84 a pop.
