iBall is an Indian device manufacturer who has risen into a position as to challenge the dominance of established mobile device makers like Samsung.

According to recent reports, it appears Samsung is no longer top tablet vendor in the country, a spot which has now been taken up by iBall. The Korean tech giant is currently contesting this assumption, which is understandable.

Anyway, iBall just launched a slew of relatively affordable devices on the market, which includes a new tablet. Fans of the Lenovo Yoga series will be thrilled, because iBall has copied to perfection the characteristic design of the tablets which can sit themselves up by virtue of a hinge.

The tablet goes by the name of iBall Slide Brace X1 and arrives with a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. It draws life from a 1.7GHz octa-core processor of unknown origins fitted with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card).

Other specs include a 13MP/5MP camera combo, 3G and dual-SIM support.

The slate runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and relies on a hefty 7800 mAh battery. The tablet will go on sale for approximately $289 / €255.

If you want the original, the Lenovo Yoga tablet (2014 edition) as the slate offers an FHD display and bundles a quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor on the inside.
