iBUYPOWER has become somewhat of a household name as far as gaming-oriented systems are concerned, and now, it seems that the company's back with some interesting new additions to its Battalion series of gaming notebooks, all of which are powered by Intel's Sandy Bridge processors.

Without a doubt, the enhanced computing capabilities provided by the 2'nd generation Intel Core processors will certainly have a serious effect on overall computing power the new notebooks from iBUYPOWER have in store, but the truth of the matter is that the rest of the components found within these systems are equally impressive.

So, the first Battalion system revealed by iBUYPOWER is the 15-inch, Full HD 101 P151HM1, offering the Intel Core i7-2630QM Sandy Bridge CPUs, as well as an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M card, accompanied by no less than 4GB of DDR3 Memory and 500GB of storage space.

Next in line comes the W150HNQ model, sporting a GT540M GPU and 1366 x 768 pixels display resolution, while the rest of its feature are more or less the same.

The last addition to the Battalion lineup is the massive, 17.3-inch Battalion W170HN model, sporting the same CPU model as the latest two notebooks mentioned above, but a Full HD 1920x1080 display with 16:9 image aspect ratio and the NVIDIA GeForce GT540M graphics card.

“Mobile gaming should not mean having to sacrifice power or overspending,” said Darren Su, Vice President of iBUYPOWER, who also wished to add that “the Sandy Bridge platform allows us to offer gaming notebooks capable of handling just about anything you throw at them at an affordable price.”

Now, of course, iBUYPOWER's president might have a slightly different understanding of the word “affordable”, given the fact that pricing for the new Battalion 101 P151HM1 starts at around $1,119, for the Battalion 101 W150HNQ at $899 and for the Battalion 101 W170HN at $1,019.
