Any time either one is out of range, both devices alert you

If Apple’s Find My iPhone is not enough for your security needs, perhaps we could entice you to check out Cirago’s iAlertTag, a hardware accessory that creates a link with your iPhone so that anytime they’re separated, both begin to vibrate and scream.

In other words, iAlertTag creates an invisible cord that connects you to your iPhone.

If you forget your iPhone or your iPad behind, the iAlertTag nags you by vibrating and/or producing an alarm sound, depending on your preferred settings.

You can even attach the iAlertTag to your keys. If you accidentally leave them behind (we’ve all done it once) your iDevice will sound an alarm to alert you. Of course, if you misplace both, then you can say goodbye to them.

If you’ve somehow forgot where you put your iPhone (say, when you’re around the house), you can press the red button on the iAlertTag and your phone will sound an alarm.

While Apple’s Find My iPhone works in pretty much the same manner, you don’t need a computer or another iPhone to locate it when you’re equipped with the iAlertTag.

You can even find the iAlertTag device itself, if you’ve misplaced that one, by tapping the "Find iAlertTag" button in the companion app. The iAlertTag will sound and/or vibrate.

Last but not least, the iAlertTag works the same with your Windows laptop, according to Cirago.

"How many of us have never misplaced our cell phone?" said Patrick Lo, president of Cirago International. "The iAlertTag is an easy to use and energy efficient device that can help users track and find their misplaced mobile device."

Based on the latest Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology, lightweight compact iAlertTag is extremely energy efficient, running for about a year under normal usage.

The iAlertTag app, downloadable at the link below, allows full customization, including the ability to select an alarm sound for the tag.
