iOS hacker Stefan Esser, also known as i0n1c in jailbreak circles, has decided to roll out an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.5, without mentioning the actual motivation behind his decision.As

Esser asked followers on the 23rd of December, “Does anyone see a need for an iOS 4.3.5 untether?”
He later posted the following tweet: “The majority of my followers sees no need in an iOS 4.3.5 untether. I guess that leaves me no option: I will do an iOS 4.3.5 untether.”
It’s not very clear what’s driving Esser to work on an untethered jailbreak for an old firmware version, especially with the iOS 5 version just around the corner, but there you have it. Any thoughts on this? Sound off in the comments.
