According to the Hungarian site PDAMania, a new i-mate model has just been launched on the market.

While
still unconfirmed, i-mate JAQ is a quad-band GSM, GPRS, EDGE and runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC Phone Edition. This may be i-mate's first ODM device. Based on the Inventec Mercury, the new i-mate jack has a few different specs and features.

Unfortunately, unlike the Mercury, it has no Wi-Fi support. The device includes components like 200MHz processor, 64MB RAM and 128MB ROM memory, 320 x 240 pixel resolution (QVGA) TFT LCD 64K color screen, QWERTY keyboard, IrDA, Bluetooth 1.2 connectivity, 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.5mm headphone jack, miniSD card slot for memory expansion. The device measures 122 mm x 71 mm x 22 mm and weighs about 160 g.

It looks like i-mate put a lot of work into this new model, designing it from the ground up, so let's hope that customers will like it too.
